5. Inspecting and Maintaining Fluid Levels
Why It’s Important:
Proper fluid levels are vital for the smooth operation of your car’s systems.
Coolant:
- Check Level: The coolant reservoir should be between the “Low” and “Full” marks. If it’s low, add the recommended coolant mix.
Brake Fluid:
- Check Level: Locate the brake fluid reservoir under the hood. It should be between the “Min” and “Max” lines. Top off with the recommended brake fluid if needed.
Power Steering Fluid:
- Check Level: Ensure the power steering fluid is at the proper level by checking the dipstick or reservoir. Add fluid if it’s below the “Min” mark.
