gsLEAD for Emerging Leaders Announces Inaugural Class

gsLEAD is a six month 25 hour development program consisting of 18 hours of classroom training and seven hours of board observance/mentorship. Classes will be held monthly on the 1st Tuesday of each month from September-February, concluding with a graduation luncheon. Each class will be 3 hours including 2 hours of basic training and 1 hour for guest speaker.
This will be the inaugural year of the program and gsSCENE was delighted to have strong applicants that want to become further involved in our community. After completing the gsLEAD program it graduates will have the knowledge and skills to serve on various nonprofit boards, committees and councils along the Grand Strand.
The following topics will be covered throughout the program: • Board Governance • Financial Management and Stewardship • Operational Planning and Evaluation • Marketing and Public Relations • Human Resources • Choosing a Board
